Hard of Hearing

What kind of help are you in need of?

How do you know if you are hard of hearing?
How do you feel when you are in the company of other people, whether they are friends, family or work colleagues?

DO YOU:

Always feel as though you are on the outside looking in?
Feel excluded from everyday activities and conversations and laughter?
Feel frustrated and stressed when trying to communicate with people around you?
Find it difficult to cope in certain situations?
Feel lonely and left out of things?
Think that people are always muttering or mumbling?
Having to constantly keep asking what has been said?
Do people get angry and say 'Never mind it doesn't matter, forget it'?
Feel stupid for not hearing what has been said?
Feel on edge and not wanted?
Feel in a panic?
Let others do the talking for you?
Stay indoors and keep yourself to yourself?
Always saying 'sorry what did you say'?
Worry about having to go out?
Feel isolated?
Have you lost all your confidence?
Do you get embarrassed because you don't hear what is being said?
Worry about the pronunciation of your words?
Worry that your spelling may be wrong?

Do you want to learn more, and be able to overcome these terrible feelings of isolation and loneliness, and feel a part of society again?

Would you like to learn how to rebuild your self-confidence,  self-asteem and feel confident in yourself when you are participating in everyday conversation?

There are different ways you can overcome the way that you feel.

Joining a hard of hearing Lipreading & Communication Support Group will help you learn to see and recognise some of the speech you cannot see or hear.
